Perfect for an uplifting caffeine-free cup, day or night.
Ingredients:
Hibiscus Flower
A Natural Antioxidant Powerhouse: Known for its exceptionally high concentration of antioxidants, particularly vitamin C, supporting immune health and overall wellness.
Promotes Heart Health: Traditionally used in many cultures to support healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels already within a normal range.
Directions:
Prepare your mug: Place one hibiscus tea bag into your mug.
Heat Your Water: Bring fresh water to a rolling boil. Hibiscus is a robust herb and benefits from fully boiling water to extract its rich color and tart flavor.
Combine and Cover: Carefully pour 8 oz of the boiling water directly over the tea bag in your mug. For the most potent infusion, immediately cover your mug with a saucer or lid. This traps the steam and beneficial essential compounds.
Steep: Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes. Because we use whole-calyx hibiscus in our bags, they need this time to fully rehydrate and release their goodness. A longer steep time will result in a more intense tartness and a deeper crimson color.
Remove the Bag: Lift the tea bag out of your mug. Give the bag a gentle squeeze against the side of the mug to ensure you extract all the concentrated flavor. (Our tea bags are compostable, so discard them naturally).
Enjoy: Your cup of natural refreshment is ready! Enjoy the bold, cranberry-like tang as is, or enhance the flavor with a drizzle of honey, a squeeze of fresh lemon, or a dash of cinnamon, if desired.
To Make Iced Hibiscus Tea:
Brew as directed above using two tea bags in 8 oz of boiling water, steeping for 7-10 minutes. Pour the concentrated brew into a tall glass filled with ice, dilute with a splash of cool water, and garnish with fresh mint or lemon.
